Formed
from two rival Bay Area bands in 1979. Huey Lewis and the News has
defied the rock odds-makers for two decades. Outlasting countless
trends and selling 20 million records worldwide in the process, the
group's hits include such classics as "Heart of Rock & Roll," and "The
Power of Love," which was nominated for a best song Oscar as part of
the Back to the Future soundtrack. Incorporating a variety of music
influences including R&B and soul has allowed Huey Lewis and the News
to create their own unique sound.
